This Privacy Policy explains how Encounters Talk collects, uses, and protects information when you use the service, including our optional SMS appointment messaging program.

1. Information We Collect

When you book or use Encounters Talk, we may collect information such as your first name, email address, phone number, appointment date and time, selected session length, support preferences, and information needed to operate your booking and audio connection.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to process bookings, provide the service, match you with an available Talker, facilitate your connection, provide customer support, protect the service from misuse, and, only if you separately opt in, send SMS appointment confirmations and reminders.

3. SMS Messaging and Consent

SMS messaging is optional. If you check the SMS consent box during booking, Encounters Talk may send appointment-related text messages to the mobile number you provide. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase or use of Encounters Talk.

• Message frequency: up to 2 appointment messages per appointment, generally one confirmation and up to one reminder, plus replies to HELP or STOP requests.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to opt out at any time.
• Reply HELP for help, or email admin@encounters.life.

We may use service providers acting on our behalf to operate the service. For example, Twilio may process phone numbers and message content to deliver SMS messages, and Square may process payment information. These providers may receive information only as needed to perform services for Encounters Talk and are not authorized by Encounters Talk to use your mobile opt-in information or SMS consent for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

6. Data Security and Retention

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No internet or electronic storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. We retain information as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet legal or operational requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

7. Your Choices

You may decline SMS consent and still complete a booking. You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information where applicable.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will be posted on this page with its updated date.
